What you'll do

Run discovery research and usability testing
Design and maintain tokenised design systems
Prototype in code, not only in Figma
Specify accessibility behaviour, not just visual states
Present and defend research findings to client leadership

What we're looking for

5+ years designing complex, data-dense products
Demonstrated research practice, not just visual design
WCAG 2.2 fluency in practice
Comfortable in HTML and CSS
Portfolio showing enterprise or B2B depth

Nice to have

Design tokens tooling
Public sector accessibility work

The process

1. Intro call (30 min) — with the hiring manager, not a recruiter.
2. Technical conversation (90 min) — we discuss a real system you have worked on. No whiteboard algorithms.
3. Paid work sample (4 hrs) — a scoped, realistic problem. We pay for your time at your day rate.
4. Team conversation (60 min) — with people you would actually work beside.
